Requirements

HTS client, Sainsbury was undergoing a period of major store redevelopment across the United Kingdom. During this phase, the client needed to ensure its loyal customer base was retained during times of store development. The client needed to create various sized, high quality retail space solutions on a temporary basis at multiple locations.

Solution

A 20.00m x 30.00m L-SERIES industrial structure with an eave height of 4.20m provided the client with 600m² of instant retail space. The building was installed with the popular thermo inflatable roof system with non-translucent fabric covers. Walling was supplied in a combination of horizontal glass and 70mm composite insulated wall panels providing a insulation “u” value of .35.

The building incorporated 1 x electrically operated pedestrian entrance door unit, 2 x (MOE) means of escape door units, entrance canopy, trolley bay along with a fully integrated gutter system. The complete structure was installed directly onto the existing site ground conditions with a cassette floor fitted internally providing a point loading of 500kg per m² when overlaid with 22mm ply. Since the installation of this first structure, the customer has since leased numerous L-SERIES temporary buildings for other store redevelopment projects.
